Speech Therapist

Patricia Giannika is a speech and language therapist and an associate of Multidisciplinary Cancer Care (MCC).

She has worked in hospitals and medical centers in the U.S. and Greece for over 25 years, including the Taylor Hospital in Pennsylvania, the Lakes Region General Hospital in New Hampshire, and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at KAT General Hospital of Attica. She has been an external associate of Hygeia hospital since 2001 and the Mitera hospital since 2007. She specializes in the clinical, endoscopic and radiological evaluation of dysphagia in patients with neurological and oncological history and in the management of orofacial and vocal disorders in patients with neurological diseases such as Parkinson's. She has participated in numerous seminars and conferences regarding the therapeutic approach to head and neck cancer and has given lectures on the diagnosis and treatment of oncology patients with dysphagia.

She has received a B.S. and M.S. degree in speech therapy from Eastern Michigan University in the United States and, during her undergraduate studies, she studied for a year at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland.
