At Multidisciplinary Cancer Care (MCC) we support patients and address their concerns about their unhindered treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic, strictly adhering to the Hellenic National Public Health Organization (NPHO) guidelines.
Before your appointment
If you have had an antigen detection test (Rapid test), molecular detection test (PCR test), or corticosteroid antibody test (SARS-CoV-2), within 15 days of your appointment, and it came back positive, please let our team know so that we can arrange for your consultation to take place remotely.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please contact your doctor, NPHO and our team so that we can reschedule your appointment to take place remotely.
During your appointment
Patients, visitors and staff are required to wear a mask to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. Please bring your face mask to wear during your visit, or we will provide you with one.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
The symptoms of COVID-19, according to NPHO and the World Health Organization (WHO), are varied and can appear two to 14 days after exposure to the virus. Common signs may include the following:
Fever
Coughing
Fatigue
Early symptoms of COVID-19 may include loss of taste or smell.
Other symptoms may include:
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle aches and pains
Shivering
Painful sensations
Painful throat
Tenderness or pain
Headache
Chest pain
Conjunctivitis
This list is not complete. Other less common symptoms have been reported, such as rashes, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Children have similar symptoms to adults.
The severity of COVID-19 symptoms can range from very mild to severe. Some people may have only a few symptoms, and some may have no symptoms at all. Some patients are likely to experience a worsening of their symptoms, such as aggravated shortness of breath and pneumonia, about a week after the onset of symptoms.
