Alessia Thomopoulou

Clinical Nutritionist

Alessia Thomopoulou is a clinical nutritionist and an associate of Multidisciplinary Cancer Care (MCC), specializing in the dietary needs of cancer patients and preventive nutrition. 

She joined the MCC in 2020, having over 19 years of experience in clinical nutrition in public hospitals and health institutes, including the Oncology Department of the 3rd Pathology Clinic of the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at the Thoracic Diseases General Hospital "Sotiria" and the Athens Medical Group. Alexia's research interests include the management of cancer cachexia in gastric cancer with lung metastases, nutrition during cancer treatment and intestinal support for cancer patients.

Alessia Thomopoulou holds a M.S. in Global Public Health Nutrition from the University of Westminster and a B.S. from the University of Surrey in the U.K.
